Introduction

Collab3x ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Collab3x, you consent to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE DIRECTLY:

• Account Information: When you sign up using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive your authentication provider ID, email address (if shared), and name (if provided).
• Profile Information: Display name, username, bio, profile photo, location (city/state), content platforms, content niches, collaboration preferences.
• Social Media Links: Usernames for platforms you choose to share (Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, content platforms, website).
• Optional Social Shoutout Consent: If you opt in, we store your consent to use only your public profile photo, username, and public links for Collab3x social media creator shoutouts.
• Verification Data: We collect a public profile photo and a private verification selfie. The verification selfie is used for account verification, selfie quality checks, admin-reviewed safety screening, periodic rechecks, and account-holder confirmation.
• Biometric Screening Consent: If biometric or face-comparison screening is enabled, we collect your separate consent, consent version, and consent timestamp before using your private verification selfie for that purpose.
• Communications: Messages you send to other users, reports you submit, and communications with our support team.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, push notification tokens, app integrity signals, and identifiers needed for authentication, security, diagnostics, analytics, and app functionality.
• Usage Data: Features used, interactions with other users, timestamps of activity.
• Log Data: IP addresses, access times, app crashes, and system activity.

INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT:

• We do NOT collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly use an in-app location safety or meetup feature.
• We do NOT collect financial or payment card information
• We do NOT collect contacts or call logs
• We do NOT use Android advertising ID or ad services identifiers for targeted advertising
• We do NOT use verification selfies or face data for advertising, model training, resale, or unrelated purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

PROVIDING THE SERVICE:

• Creating and managing your account
• Displaying your profile to other users
• Enabling messaging and collaboration features
• Processing verification requests
• Matching you with potential collaborators

OPTIONAL CREATOR PROMOTION:

• If you opt in, we may feature your public profile photo, username, and public links on Collab3x social media channels.
• We do not include age, gender, city, email, private verification selfies, safety scores, or admin review details in social shoutouts.

SAFETY AND SECURITY:

• Verifying user identities
• Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and violations
• Conducting admin-reviewed registered sex offender and related safety screening where legally permitted and disclosed
• Confirming that the account holder matches the verified person
• Investigating reports and enforcing our Terms
• Protecting the safety of our users

NO AUTOMATIC DECISIONS FROM FACE MATCHES: Facial or offender-screening matches do not automatically ban, verify, or reject users. Admin review is required, and users may request a recheck or appeal by contacting privacy@collab3x.com.

WE DO NOT:

• Sell your personal data to third parties
• Use your data for targeted advertising
• Share your data with data brokers

3. Data Storage and Security

WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED:

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Authentication). This means:

• Data is stored on Google Cloud's secure servers
• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
• Data centers are located in the United States
• Data is subject to Google Cloud's privacy practices, security measures, and SOC 2/ISO 27001 certifications

SECURITY MEASURES:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication via Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google
• Access controls limiting who can view data
• Regular security assessments

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

WITH OTHER USERS:

• Your public profile information is visible to other users
• Your messages are visible to message recipients
• Your verification status is visible to all users
• If you opt into creator shoutouts, your public profile photo, username, and public links may be shown on Collab3x social media channels.

WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS:

• Google Firebase (data storage, authentication, push notifications, cloud functions)
• Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In (authentication)
• Apple (Sign in with Apple for authentication)
• Daily.co (video calls for verification)
• Offender.io or similar screening providers, only for disclosed safety screening
• Sentry or similar diagnostics providers for crash/error reporting
• Google Analytics (anonymized usage analytics)

FOR LEGAL REASONS:

• To comply with legal obligations or court orders
• To respond to lawful requests from law enforcement
• To protect our rights, property, or safety
• To detect and prevent fraud or illegal activity

WE DO NOT: Sell your personal data, share data with advertisers, or provide data to data brokers.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access: You can view your profile data at any time in the App
• Correction: You can update your profile information through the App
• Deletion: You can delete your account directly in the App (Profile > Settings > Delete Account), or by contacting support@collab3x.com
• Verification Selfie Deletion: You can request deletion or reset of your private verification selfie by contacting privacy@collab3x.com. Deleting the selfie may require a new verification review before full app access is restored.
• Blocking: You can block other users to prevent contact

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, right to delete, right to opt-out of sale (we do not sell data), and right to non-discrimination.

EU/UK RESIDENTS (GDPR): You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and withdraw consent.

6. Data Retention

• Profile data is retained while your account is active
• Private verification selfies and any related face-screening records are retained only while needed for verification, safety screening, periodic rechecks, appeal/recheck handling, or legal compliance
• When an account is closed or the verification purpose ends, we delete the private verification selfie and related screening records unless we are legally required to retain limited records
• Most data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Some data may be retained for legal compliance (up to 7 years)

7. Children's Privacy

Collab3x is NOT intended for anyone under 21 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we discover we have collected information from someone under 21, we will immediately terminate the account and delete all associated data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the new policy in the App.
